Email Address Book

Your Address Book is a tool included with your e-mail program. It functions much like a paper address book of family and friends you may keep beside your telephone. Your paper address book lists the mail addresses and telephone numbers of your friends and relatives.

Your computer Address Book lists the e-mail addresses of your friends and relatives. It's a good idea to use the address book, because it is easy to make a mistake when typing an e-mail address. Once you type it into the address book correctly, you never have to type it again - rather you'll just select it from a list.

While address books for different programs each function differently, all of them have some basic points in common.
