This image
started with scanning experiments. It's often more
interesting to scan actual objects rather than photos or
slides of objects.
Each of the herbs were picked and arranged on the
scanner - once as a group and once individually.
The color was eliminated from the scan of the group of
the herbs. Pencil effects and text were added to a
papery background to get the effect of an old botanical
text book.
The individual scans were clipped and layered with a
drop shadow to make it appear as if the herbs were
placed on the page. |
